The Morgana Show

"Sketch-based comedy show starring new talent Morgana Robinson who showcases her skilfully-crafted range of characters and impersonations of stars, including Cheryl Cole and Fearne Cotton"
GILBERT

Having watched the adverts for The Morgana Show over the previous weeks I was determined to watch it. And it’s a good thing I did because I loved it! I laughed out loud on many occasions, especially when it came to Gilbert. He is so funny. He is a boy who has decided to make his own show, filmed by Granddad with interruptions from Nana and appearances from his hamster ‘Gareth’.

I suggest you watch it if you enjoy a laugh and can remember spending time at your Granma’s when you were young and bored.
There are also many other characters, including some extremely realistic versions of Fern Cotton, Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue.

Definitely worth a watch!!

Pretty Little Things

Just a quick one to show you my lovely Jewellrey holder/hanger...

Isn't it nice! :) Its really easy to put up (with a drill) and you can hang a lot of things on it. Although you may have trouble with earrings and really chunky bracelets. Apart from that its fabulous and really very cute!

Alton Towers

Review: Thirteen!

Oooooooh! Thirteen!! Despite the long waiting times, the 13 experience was a brilliant one!! We were in the line for 45-55mins, which compare to other people who have waited 2hours+, it doesn't seem too bad. The best thing in my opinion is that I had no real idea of what was going to happen! :s I suggest to everyone to go on it without knowing - if you can! Myself and my little (9 year old) cousin were at the very front and loved it. It mixes roller coaster fast madness with scary mary ghost house fun! There are a couple of very noticeable surprises too! :)

So to those going to Alton Towers... you better not go... alone

Book Review - The Host

Book Review: The Host
by Stephenie Meyer

"Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed"

I began this book under the note ''it's a bit weird''. And it was ~ Very weird! But once the reader gets the idea of what the world is like in the book and who the characters are, they really get into it.

If you can make it through the first few chapters and get your head around the concept I think you will really enjoy it. The book is full of emotion and complicated situations. There are a lot of questions raised about human nature and 'what would I do in that situation' questions to ask yourself.

Overall I really enjoyed it! - it was easy to read (apart from understanding the initial concept) and quite an emotional read too.

Writing an essay... again

Ahh... The art of writing a good essay...

So tomorrow I will be handing in my last essay (again). I hadn't writen one for ages! I was quite excited to start it actually (geek)! Once I got started I found it really easy, apart from when it came for me to go through it all. Urgh, editing! I was over my word count and really wanted to write more!

Overall I enjoyed the experience, but I am glad that I dont have any more to write! I think the phrase 'the grass is greener...' fits well here as I get jealous of my other mates at Uni. but now Ive had another taste of what it was like again... Im alright for that cheers! haha

The Short Life of Bree Tanner

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga)
A Quick Review of 'The Short Life of Bree Tanner'

If like me, you loved reading the Twilight Saga, then you will love this book too. It gives background to the third book and the new film which is out now (Eclipse). It is the story of the newborns and in particular a girl called Bree.

"Bree Tanner can barely remember life before she had uncannily powerful senses, superhuman reflexes and unstoppable physical strength. Life before she had a relentless thirst for blood... life before she became a vampire...
"All Bree knows is that living with her fellow newborns has few certainties and even fewer rules: watch your back, don't draw attention to yourself and, above all, make it home by sunrise or die. What she doesn't know: her time as an immortal is quickly running out. Then Bree finds an unexpected friend in Diego, a newborn just as curious as Bree about their mysterious creator, whom they know only as "her". As they come to realize that the newborns are pawns in a game larger than anything they could have imagined, Bree and Diego must choose sides and decide whom to trus. But when everything you know about vampires is based on a lie, how do you find the truth?"

My advice is to read it! But remember, there are no chapters in it and its a short book, so make it last!! xxx

Congrats Danny!

My lovely boyfriend is now a graduate. Well done Dan!

Just a quick one... well, two!

I just thought I'd share two songs that keep getting stuck in my head.

One is from 'Fake Blood' called 'I Think I Like It'

(skip to 0:55 to get the good bits)

The second is 'Yolanda Be Cool' with 'We Speak No Americano'

(skip to 0:40 to get the good bits)

They are catchy, but you have to give them a chance!

xxx Have a listen!! xxxx

The World Cup 2010

THE WORLD CUP 2010 HAS COME AND GONE FOR ENGLAND!

Well it all started so well... kind of. There was so much hype for the world cup - people who never watch football bagain to take an interest. There were flags everywhere! Cars, houses, streets, shops and many faces were coloured red and white. This world cup, in South Africa, is being haunted by the sound of vuvuzelas (below), so the match noise is louder than usual!

Oh England, where did it all go wrong! Although to be honest I think we did get quite far, seeing as we did play quite badly for a lot of it! So in the end 2 draws, 1 win and 1 horrible defeat against Germany.

The 4-1 defeat was a controversial one, especially due to the disallowed goal, which should have obviously been allowed, as Im sure every English man or woman who watched the game will tell you! But in the end, what would it have mattered? Is a 4-2 defeat that much better? I think not!

"Fifa president Sepp Blatter has apologised to the Football Association over Frank Lampard's disallowed goal in England's World Cup defeat by Germany".

The Sun Has Got His Hat On!!!

"temperatures set to rise to make this the warmest weekend of the year so far"
(BBC, 19.05.10)

Yes, finally! The sun is out with a backdrop of clear blue sky! The only problem is that we are so scared of it going away again, many of us decide not to use any sun-cream and end up getting burnt! ... and yes, that is what I did today. I had lunch with a friend and when the question of where we wanted to sit came up we decided outside was a clever choice. Needless to say I am slightly red now! Fingers crossed it turns into a tan over night! :D

Love Warm Weather!
